Movie
Rushton Hurley is a high school teacher in Santa Clara,
California, who started and runs NextVista.org, an online library
of free videos by and for teachers and students everywhere. He
attended Project Amigo’s December Work Week. To learn more

Rushton has been a Japanese language teacher, a principal of an
online high school, a teacher trainer, an educational technology
researcher, and a school reform consultant who has worked and
studied on three continents. In early 2006 he started an
educational nonprofit called Next Vista for Learning, which is
dedicated to providing free video insights about academic topics,
service to others, and introductions of communities around the
world.
In addition to his regular work, he devotes time to the community
through Rotary and as a member of the city of Santa Clara's
International Exchange Commission. In early 2005, he was awarded
the Baha'i Unity of Humanity Award in Texas for his work
developing online and international programs for at-risk
students. He also juggles, though he has never received an award
for it.
