Financial contributions

As you can imagine, we accept donations of any amount at any time. You can also make donations specific to your desires. Sponsor a student, help with costs to run Casa Amiga, help us provide children's books to children who have none at home. It all will help. If you prefer to mail a check, please make it payable to Project Amigo and mail it to Project Amigo, 14 Commercial Blvd # 119, Novato, CA 94949.

Our wishlist

Every year Project Amigo distributes hundreds of items donated by individuals in the United States and Canada--everything from soccer uniforms to current model laptop computers. Please contact us if you have something to donate. All donations are tax deductible.

Most donations are brought to Mexico by visitors who bring them with their personal luggage, which is easy and inexpensive. Large items must be shipped, which is costly and involves time-consuming paperwork to obtain government authorization. Do not mail any donated items either to our Novato address or to Mexico before discussing the donation with us. For our medical (dental, vision and hearing) programs:

• Chewable fluoride tablets 1mg
• Hearing aids, used
• High power (+3 and up) reading glasses
• Children’s vitamins
• Adult vitamins
• Sunscreen
• Various sizes of toothbrushes
• (We do not need mouthwash, or dental floss, thanks)

Children's clothes and linens:

• Towels, sheets, pillowcases – all sizes, used, mismatched and orphans ok
• New or good used boys' or girls' jeans, all sizes
• New or good used girls' daytime dresses, all sizes
• White school uniform blouses and shirts for junior high and high school students
• Soccer uniforms for elementary, junior high and high school students
• Teen-age girls' and boys' casual clothes
• Used shoes in good condition
• Light sweaters or jackets
• (No adult clothes, please. )

School Supplies:

• Memory sticks-usb (any size)
• Sturdy high school students backpacks
• (We do not need 3-ring binders or binder paper. )
• Calculators, cheapos & scientific
• CD's
• Computer accessories - Mouse

For our literacy initiative:

• Spanish language or bi-lingual English/Spanish children's books
• (Please, we do not need any English-only books, religious books or school textbooks. )
