What do you say to a 14-year old who tells you that her stomach hurts all the time, or to a young mother of two who suddenly finds herself homeless and penniless, or to the bright young scholar who plans to drop out of school to support her family? These are real life situations that are only a small example of what I deal with regularly as a Spanish-speaking volunteer for Project Amgio. The real work is finding resolutions to these problems and others. Francy Rubin, |
